For you, it's more than just finding someone with the right skills – it’s about understanding who will thrive in your environment and contribute to your company’s vision.
With the Job Passion Type Indicator (JPTI)™, we provide a nuanced understanding of how potential candidates can naturally excel within your organization, ensuring they do more than just fill a role.
It evaluates potential hires on two critical aspects:
1. Enjoyment in roles that play to their strengths, boosting productivity through passionate engagement.
2. Alignment of personal values with those of your company, fostering a harmonious workplace culture that enhances loyalty and retention.
Ken Steven is the creator of the JPTI Assessment and author of the book Dream Job Discovery.
He's also a coach, consultant, speaker, and former marketing and advertising executive for Fortune 500 companies.
Ken spent most of his career working in jobs he disliked, simply chasing opportunities in the corporate world based on his skills, personality, behavioral tendencies, and strengths for a bigger paycheck to fund a lifestyle he ultimately became too miserable to enjoy.
After some deep introspection he realized why he felt so unhappy and unfulfilled – every promotion he had received on his way to the C-Suite was based on skills he excelled at but didn't enjoy.
He desperately wanted to find a job he could feel passionate about doing, but he had no clue what his passions were.
Frustrated that conventional passion discovery methods were fruitless for him, Ken spent sixteen years researching, developing, testing, and tweaking a better way. The result was the creation of the Job Passion Type Indicator, or JPTI for short.
The JPTI measures 118 business-related values and uses those values to predict job functions that a person would feel passionate about doing. These job functions are commonly found in job descriptions and we refer to them in our assessment results as Job Passion Types™.
Just like Scrabble tiles combine letters to form words, the JPTI combines unique sequences of values to form individual Job Passion Types. There are 21 Job Passion Types. The more Job Passion Types that apply to any given job description, the more passionately engaged and purpose driven you can expect an employee or employee prospect to be in your organization.
And the assessment helps you identify where each respondent's values directly align with those of your company so you can feel confident they will harmoniously connect to your corporate culture.
